Pharao der Danceknaller aus den 90er.Das Duo aus München besteht aus derSängerin Kyra(geb.17.01.71) und dem Rapper Marcus Déon Thomas(geb.20.01.1970 in Opelika/ Alabama), der schon 1991 mit "Splash" den Riesenhit "I need rhythm"hatte. Als Déon und sein Produzententeam 1993 eine Sängerin für "I show you secrets" brauchten holten sie Kyra in Studio und in nur 3 Stunden war der Song fertig. "I show you secrets" schnellte 1994 innerhalb weniger Wochen auf Platz 6 der dt. Verkaufscharts und war insgesamt 11 Wochen in den Top 20 vertreten. Auch international war der Song ein Hit und brachte div. Gold-Auszeichnungen mit sich. Hinter dem Act steht das Produzenten-Team Alexander Hawking und DJ Stevie Steve. Auch die nachfolgenden Singles "There is a star" und "World of magic" wurden Riesenhits und im November 1994 erschien dann das Album "Pharao". Nach einem Streit 1995 trennt sich Kyra von Déon und holte Eric Martin(geb.1971).Er ist in Cardiff/Wales geboren worden. Nach einer Pause von 2 Jahren meldete sich Pharao 1997 mit dem Song "Temple Of love" zurück. Ab diesem Zeitpunkt waren nur noch die Sängerin Kyra Bestandteil des Stage-Act's. Die Nachfolgesingle "Once upon a time" wurde im Dezember 1997 veröffentlicht.Das dazugehörige Album "The Return" erschien im Januar 1998.
Kyra wird diesen Winter 2004 zurück sein mit einer neuen Single.
